Our Story

In 2015, our co-Founder, Colleen Ceh Becvar, responded to an unmet need: providing quality, responsive, personalized support to vulnerable adults. This journey through aging is deeply personal and becomes difficult for many people. Colleen understood her decades’-long experience of serving older adults and their families was just what some people needed to navigate the turbulent, often confusing waters during such a vulnerable time for them or a loved one. Growing up, Colleen’s generation was the youngest of the four generations living under one roof, which included her grandmother and great-grandfather. She witnessed her great-grandfather succumb to Parkinson’s, dementia, and heart disease, while his daughter (Colleen’s grandmother) toiled with how to care for him while working full time. Seeing this struggle, Colleen was deeply concerned at the young age of nine – and committed herself to helping vulnerable adults navigate these very personal, difficult challenges.

Co-founder

Founding TAG—Trinity Advocacy Group and Trinity Advocacy Guardians—was the natural outgrowth of a lifetime devoted to older adults and the people who love them. Raised alongside my grandmother and greatgrandfather, I learned early that aging is deeply personal, and that strong advocacy can change lives. 

That calling became my life’s work in 1991 and has guided every step since. From representing older adults on national and local advisory councils, including as a delegate to the White House Conference on Aging, to teaching, researching, writing and speaking publicly on aging and caregiving, my focus has always been the same: elevating the voices of seniors, the adult disabled, and protecting their dignity. 

Through original research on elder abuse and neglect and years of handson advocacy, I’ve seen both the gaps families face and the solutions they deserve. TAG exists to meet that moment—offering clarity, trusted guidance, and steady support when families need it most.

TAG Care Management Consultant

For more than 30 years, I have had the privilege of supporting older adults and families through some of life’s most challenging transitions. The last decade of those 30 years, I served as TAGs first Director Care Management and my professional background includes healthcare advocacy, counseling, hospice care, grief support, and care management—experiences that have shaped both my expertise and my passion for helping others. My TAG Consultant role allows me to bring all of my experience to each and every client consultation.

My interest in care management grew from witnessing firsthand the difficult decisions families face as loved ones age and their needs change. I understand how overwhelming these situations can feel, and I am committed to helping clients and families navigate them with clarity, confidence, and compassion.

I believe every person deserves to have their voice heard and their preferences respected, especially when facing changes in health, independence, or family dynamics. My goal is to help individuals maintain their dignity, sense of self, and quality of life while finding practical solutions to the challenges they encounter.

I hold a Master of Social Work and am passionate about empowering older adults and their families through informed guidance, advocacy, and personalized support.

I live in Geneva, Illinois, with my husband and enjoy spending time with family, volunteering, gardening, reading, cooking, and traveling.

Care Team Case Coordinator

I have had the privilege of working in the home care industry for many years. It wasn’t until my own mother needed a caregiver that I realized the depth of the challenges that families face when trying to find support and care for a loved one. Finding the right person to assist my mom and watching the trust and admiration they have for each other grow has been very heartwarming.  

It has been so rewarding to connect clients with caregivers that bring joy and meaning into the lives of not just the clients, but also their families. Joining TAG gives me the opportunity to continue this important mission of improving the lives of vulnerable adults that need assistance. Helping these folks to maintain their independence in a safe and loving environment is what I look forward to the most.  

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading and going to the movies.

Director of Financial Operations

I joined TAG as the Director of Financial Operations after 30 years working in the public sector as an advocate. Now, being part of a team that advocates for vulnerable adults allows me to continue to serve in an advocacy role. I enjoy being an administrative support to my colleagues while they concentrate on delivering outstanding services to our valued clients and their families. 

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time watching the Chicago Cubs and traveling with my family.

Compliance Coordinator - Fiduciary Services

After working in the public sector for over 25 years, I’m very happy to be able to continue my passion for helping others at a great company like TAG! In my role as the Compliance Coordinator, I feel like contributing even a small part in TAG’s amazing work is very rewarding. Using my honed problem-solving and organizational skills, I enjoy working with clients with a welcoming spirit and do whatever I can to ease their burden during an often-difficult time in their lives. In my spare time I love to cook and spend time with family and friends.

Through life’s up and downs, many times we find ourselves searching for support or someone who can truly help us. My passion is connecting people to the services that they need. I have spent the last decade working as a connector in healthcare specifically in seniors and special needs. I have helped navigate families through healthcare decisions that ends with supports that offers their loved one safety, progress, and improvement of quality of life. I am so happy to have joined Trinity Advocacy group, and continue my passion in getting people the right services at the right time.

After 20+ years serving seniors and adults with disabilities, I joined TAG after a transition out of elder law, where I focused on guardianship, probate matters, trust administration, estate planning, special needs, Veterans benefits and long term care/Medical planning. This move has allowed me to direct my energies on serving and addressing client needs, rather than on practicing law. I am a licensed attorney (Chicago-Kent) and have been a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys since 2006. 

An avid sports fan, I spend a fair amount of my free time watching professional sports as well as my own amateur athletes.

Caring for others has been at the heart of my life’s work for more than 30 years. After spending over two decades in clinical roles, I transitioned into case management to broaden my impact and better serve the individuals navigating challenging circumstances. As I expand now into care management, 

I take pride in being a strong advocate for clients who need support, while ensuring they retain their voice, dignity and independence. My approach is rooted in compassion, respect, and a genuine commitment to helping people live fuller, more empowered lives.  

 In my free time, I cherish the time with my family and friends, traveling with my husband, and volunteering within my community.

Fiduciary Case Coordinator

I have always had a soft spot in my heart when it comes to helping people in need. Whether it’s a family member with special needs or a stranger, I truly enjoy helping people who are vulnerable. I worked as a secretary in a hospital for over 10 years and felt so fulfilled whenever I had the opportunity to interact with our patients, even if it was just talking to them. Since I began working with TAG, I can honestly say how proud I am to work alongside my colleagues who care so much about our clients and put so much effort into ensuring that their care and dignity remains our priority. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my loved ones, singing and listening to music, cooking and dancing.

My dad came from a large family. Growing up, my sisters and I spent almost every Sunday at my grandmother’s house. As we got older, my sisters and I would have breakfast with my dad on Sundays. To this day, my sisters, husbands, and grown kids still try to get together on Sundays for what we now call “Family Day”. Spending time and helping family means a lot to me. I am lucky to be working here at TAG, whose family values are just as important. I get to see firsthand the difference my colleagues make in our clients’ and their family’s lives. As an administrative assistant, I really enjoy talking with the people that reach out to us and hope to brighten their day.  

In my free time I enjoy hanging out with my family and going to outdoor neighborhood concerts.
