About Us

Our Story

In 2015, our co-Founder, Colleen Ceh Becvar, responded to an unmet need: providing quality, responsive, personalized support to vulnerable adults. This journey through aging is deeply personal and becomes difficult for many people. Colleen understood her decades’-long experience of serving older adults and their families was just what some people needed to navigate the turbulent, often confusing waters during such a vulnerable time for them or a loved one. Growing up, Colleen’s generation was the youngest of the four generations living under one roof, which included her grandmother and great-grandfather. She witnessed her great-grandfather succumb to Parkinson’s, dementia, and heart disease, while his daughter (Colleen’s grandmother) toiled with how to care for him while working full time. Seeing this struggle, Colleen was deeply concerned at the young age of nine – and committed herself to helping vulnerable adults navigate these very personal, difficult challenges.

Gerontologist

Trinity Advocacy Group for me is the culmination of a life dedicated to advocating for older adults and their families. As far back as 7th grade, aging was fascinating to me; growing up under the same roof with my grandmother and great-grandfather surely influenced my curiosity. Serving seniors and their families began formally for me in 1991 and I have enjoyed every dynamic year of what I affectionately call “my life’s work”. Shortly before earning my masters in gerontology, I was appointed as a delegate to the White House Conference on Aging and have continued my advocacy on various advisory councils, representing the voice of seniors. My graduate work sparked my desire to educate others and so began my years of teaching, including my present adjunct faculty position at Aurora University. Ironically, the field of gerontology is quite young, so advancing it through research is critical, in my opinion. Along with my colleagues at Midwestern University, I have published research on elder abuse and neglect and continue to collect data on this growing trend. Offering families real solutions, knowledgeable guidance, and ongoing support is the heart of my work and the energy behind Trinity Advocacy Group, LLC.

Michelle

DIRECTOR OF CARE MANAGEMENT

I have 18 years of experience with a strong emphasis in healthcare services, advocacy, individual and family therapy, hospice care, and grief therapy. I also have experience in bookkeeping, money management, and financial goal planning. My strengths include strong problem-solving skills and a deep desire to help people achieve their life goals. My interest in care management developed after seeing first-hand the difficult decisions families experience if a loved one has difficulty aging. I recognized the need for someone to assist in making sure the client’s voice is heard when facing the challenges accompanying loss of independence, declining health, and conflict with loved ones. My priority is allowing a person to maintain a strong sense of self-worth and dignity during the aging process. I hold a master’s degree in Social Work, am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois, and completed my certificate in Financial Planning in 2008. I currently reside in Geneva, IL with my husband of 24 years, two teen-aged children, and two lovable dogs. I spend many hours watching my children participate in their passions: basketball and hockey. I also enjoy volunteering, gardening, reading, cooking, and traveling.

Jean

Care Case Coordinator

I have had the privilege of working in the home care industry for many years. It wasn’t until my own mother needed a caregiver that I realized the depth of the challenges that families face when trying to find support and care for a loved one. Finding the right person to assist my mom and watching the trust and admiration they have for each other grow has been very heartwarming.

It has been so rewarding to connect clients with caregivers that bring joy and meaning into the lives of not just the clients, but also their families. Joining Trinity Advocacy Group gives me the opportunity to continue this important mission of improving the lives of vulnerable adults that need assistance. Helping these folks to maintain their independence in a safe and loving environment is what I look forward to the most.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading and going to the movies.

Megan

Director of Financial Operations

I joined Trinity Advocacy Group in 2020 as the Director of Financial Operations. Previously, I spent the last 30 years working with at-risk youth. During my tenure, I was promoted to supervisor and worked as part of the management team for 20 years, enjoying opportunities to lead teams and initiatives.

I graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in Family & Social Services. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family watching the Chicago Cubs, traveling, and baking my world-famous cookies!

Yadira

Compliance Coordinator - Fiduciary Services

After working in the public sector for over 25 years, I’m very happy to be able to continue my passion for helping others at a great company like TAG! In my role as the Compliance Coordinator to the Fiduciary Services Team, I feel like contributing even a small part in TAG’s amazing work is very rewarding. Using my honed problem-solving and organizational skills, I enjoy onboarding potential and new clients with a welcoming spirit and do whatever I can to ease their burden during an often-difficult time in their lives.

In my spare time I love to spend time with family and friends, especially my son and my elderly Boston Terrier, “Mimi”!

Rachel

Marketing Strategist

Through life’s up and downs, many times we find ourselves searching for support or someone who can truly help us. My passion is connecting people to the services that they need. I have spent the last decade working as a connector in healthcare specifically in seniors and special needs. I have helped navigate families through healthcare decisions that ends with supports that offers their loved one safety, progress, and improvement of quality of life. I am so happy to have joined Trinity Advocacy group, and continue my passion in getting people the right services at the right time.

Krystal

Fiduciary CaseWorker

From youth on, my life has been spent assisting with and serving the needs of the impaired, personally and professionally. My love and compassion for people moves me to advocate for them. The hard work and dedication of the TAG team to guide, protect, and serve the vulnerable community is impressive. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends listening to music, dancing, and playing games.

Bethany

Care Manager

I am fiercely committed to serving vulnerable adults. I am a licensed social worker in the State of Illinois with over 10 years of experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD). Some of the most crucial elements I admire at TAG is that we don’t use aging itself as an identifier of vulnerability; and we are mindful of including individuals with ID/DD as part of the vulnerable adult population. I live and breathe advocacy, and with my compassionate heart and determined mind we can move mountains. My self-care regimen includes painting, playing guitar/keyboard, and attending kickboxing and American ninja warrior classes.

Pat Reina

Administrative AssistanT

My dad came from a large family. Growing up, my sisters and I spent almost every Sunday at my grandmother’s house. As we got older, my sisters and I would have breakfast with my dad on Sundays. To this day, my sisters, husbands, and grown kids still try to get together on Sundays for what we now call “Family Day”. Spending time and helping family means a lot to me. I am lucky to be working here at TAG, whose family values are just as important. I get to see firsthand the difference my colleagues make in our clients’ and their family’s lives. As an administrative assistant, I really enjoy talking with the people that reach out to us and hope to brighten their day. In my free time I enjoy hanging out with my family, reading mystery novels, and going to outdoor neighborhood concerts.
